Mission: The Afghan Sports Federation is
a non profit sports organization dedicated to promoting
the development of "Running" for Afghans
who aspire to compete at world class events in the
future! |
| |
Background:
Afghanistan has a proud and colorful history that
has always included sports. The challenging mountainous
topography and harsh environment of Afghanistan produce
very hearty athletes. Their traditional national sports
have included "Buzhashi (Ancient team sport on
horseback), Soccer & Wrestling but not running.
Therefore, with the help of the American Running Community,
the Afghan Sports Federation will help them develop
