AFGHANCUP2009
The 12th annual Afghan Cup celebration is scheduled from 10th to July 12th, 2009. It is the biggest Afghan sporting and cultural event outside of Afghanistan, gathering hundreds of Afghan athelets, families and thousands of spectators from across the North America, Europe, Asia and Afghanistan.The games would take place in Howison Park in Prince William County, Hoop Magic in Fairfax County and the Championship games in Maryland Soccerplex Stadium of Washington DC metropolitan area.

Team Tin Tin wins the Championship for the Midnight Madness Indoor Soccer Tournament 2009

After an immense battle, team Tin Tin captured the Championship trophy in this year's Indoor Soccer Tournament sponsored by the Afghan Soccer League of ASF. Team Afghan United placed 2nd. Congratulations to all the participating teams!

Afghan United Wins the ASL Fall Season 2008 Championship!

In an exciting game, Afghan United defeated Ariana 1-0 for the Fall Season Championship. For the Third Place Game, Afghan 11 played Pamir and won Third Place in a penalty shootout after a tie game of 0-0. The ASF Executive Committee and Advisors presented trophies and medals to the winning teams. Afghan Sports Federation and Afghan Soccer League congratulate the participating teams and the champions for their efforts.

Afghan Soccer League (ASL) Spring 2008 Season
Comes to a Dramatic Conclusion

The Championship game between Afghan United and Ariana started around 8:30pm on June 26th and ended with penalty kicks just before 11pm.
The game began with a special tribute to “Farid Abbasi”, the 22 years old player from Afghan united team whose promising life was cut short three weeks ago.
The game was tied 2-2 after the regulation and 10 minutes half overtime. Finally, Afghan United prevailed the game 4-3 in a penalty kick, The game was cheered by a crowed of over 700 spectators and Fans.
Congratulations to both Ariana & Afghan United. This season’s cup was dedicated to Farid Abbasi.
