KABUL, May 28 (Pajhwok Afghan News):
Hamta Club trounced Mashal 3-0 in an utterly one-sided match of the Girls Football Tournament played in Kabul on Monday.

Abdul Sabur Walizada, president of the Girls' Football Federation, told Pajhwok Afghan News the event got under way on Sunday, with Sangar, Aschiana, Umid-i-Farda, Hambastagi and Hamta outplaying their rivals.

He added Hindukush, Tolo and Acshiana Clubs were respectively held to goalless draws by their opponents Piam, Umid-i-Farda and Danish in other contests decided today.

Walizada continued 17 teams were taking part in the tournament being played on a knockout basis. The National Olympic Committee would award a glittering cup and cash prizes to the winners, he concluded.
