Inter-district cricket tournament started in Paktia GARDEZ, Apr 13 (Pajhwok Afghan News): Daulatzai cricket team defeated Rabat by 100 runs in the inaugural match of the inter-district cricket tournament started in this provincial capital of the southeastern Paktia province on Friday. Teams from all the 13 districts of the province are taking part in the tournament, organised to mark the beginning of the spring season. Matches between different teams will continue for 10 days. Around 200 cricket lovers witnessed the match played on Friday. Batting first, Daulatzai team scored 195 runs in the limited 14 overs. In reply, the Rabat players were all out for only 95 runs. Organiser of the tournament Amin Alamyar told Pajhwok Afghan News two matches would be played daily and the successful teams would get awards at the end of the day. Hamid Afzali, member of the Gardez cricket team, said cricket fans were increasing in the province.
