After an exciting 4th season of the Afghan Basketball League, team Buzkashi prevails as the league Champions. 10 teams participated for over 2 month long season where on Sunday December 14th, the Final Four teams met for an all out battle for the Championship. The #1 seed Buzkashi defeated the #4 seed Lhmar and the #2 seed Khudrat defeated #3 seed Top Gunners. The two top ranked teams played an exciting Championship game where the lead changed constantly. With Buzkashi leading, the score was 27-26 at the half. The second half was no different until the last 3 minutes of the game where Ali Noorzad of Buzkashi took off on offensive fireworks and ended up defeating the former ABL Champions, Khudrat. Ali Noorzaad was also named the MVP of the finals. Congratulations to all the teams participating and we are looking forward to season 5, to start in mid April, 2009.
